The Super Sterasyl and ATC Super Sterasyl Filter Elements are 18cm / 7” and for mounting purposes are
supplied on a food grade plastic mount which terminates in a 1/4” BSP male thread.
These candles contain silver and are self sterilising, they can be cleaned but will eventually
need replacing approximately 6 to 12 monthly.
The Super Sterasyl and ATC Super Sterasyl candles will combat bacterial contamination and pathogenic organisms.
The Super Sterasyl ATC will also remove lead and other heavy metals.
CERAMIC FILTRATION
The heart of any water filter is its candle or element Doulton & British Berkefeld candles are made from a highly
specialised porous ceramic, designed to give: -
* Filtration down to 0.9 micron ABSOLUTE by means of a strictly controlled range of pore sizes
* Flow rates of up to 300 litres per hour at 3 bar line pressure
* An easily cleaned outer surface for prolonged life
* An Internal space which can be filled with a variety of dedicated water treatment media for enhanced performance.
As the water passes through the porous ceramic wall, the intricate maze of microscopic passages trap the suspended
particles and pathogenic organisms leaving only clean water, complete with all the healthful and beneficial
minerals, to emerge from the threaded candle mount.
